Skullforge: The Destined One Chapter 2 Releasing This Month

It has been a long time since we announced Skullforge: The Destined One and while the chapters were supposed to be released every month, that didn’t come to fruition. Even though, we have been pretty terrible at keeping release dates, we can say with confidence that Skullforge: The Destined One Chapter 2 will be released at the end of August. It is being edited now and the cover art is being put together as well. In the future, we plan to release new chapters every month or two. We’ll announce the exact date in the coming weeks. If you enjoyed the first Skullforge chapter, then we know you’ll enjoy this next one. Stay tuned for more information in the near future.

After some discussion, we figured it would be a good idea to adjust the cover art for Skullforge: The Destined One. We feel like the new version looks more professional. Let us know what you think.

Blood City Chronicles: To Live in Fear Cover Art

It’s taken a bit more time than I figured to get the new story out, but it looks like everything will go live next month. I’m looking forward to finally seeing how everyone likes the second chapter in the series. In the meantime, here’s a look at the cover art.

Update on Blood City Chronicles

I made a note that Blood City Chronicles: To Live in Fear would be released in December. Here it is in January and it still hasn’t been released. I’d like to apologize for this as there has been a bit of a holdup in getting it to market. Unfortunately, there have been a couple of issues that have come up and these have kept the story from being released. For the record, the story is done. I finished writing last month and actually was on schedule, but getting it edited and released has brought forth a couple of problems that need to be addressed first.

If things continue the way they’re going now I’ll be able to have the story released at the end of the month or early next month. Once I get everything worked out, it’ll be no problem releasing anything else.

As I get things nailed down, I’ll let everyone know. Again, I apologize for the delay. We’ll get it worked out.

Skullforge: The Destined One Releasing in February

We are proud to announce that the prequel story to Skullforge: The Hunt will be releasing in February. The series named “Skullforge: The Destined One” will look into the events that lead into the game and will give players and fantasy readers alike a chance to connect with Desi Cornerstone before the game is released in 2015.

Skullforge: The Destined One, written by James Garvin, will span ten chapters with a new chapter released every month until November. Each chapter in the saga will be available for purchase for 99 cents on various online bookstores.

Look for more information in the coming weeks.

Blood City Chronicles: To Live in Fear Releasing in December

It took a long time, but the next chapter in the Blood City Chronicles series is ready to be released. There are a few more edits that need to be done, but that shouldn’t affect the timing of the release unless something serious happens in the process. Pricing is still being decided, but the episode should be reasonably priced.

Blood City Chronicles: To Live in Fear follows a new protagonist named Michael Steel on a case he may regret taking as he navigates the deadly Chicago of 2145. Who is Michael Steel? Find out in December! Hope you guys enjoy it.

A New Year…Maybe Some Progress

You know, the time goes by so fast.  Last year I was prepping The Black Petal for re-release, but thinking about it, I decided that perhaps I’d just let the story stay the way it was…mistakes and all.  I don’t believe in changing things after they get released.  Sometimes we just have to accept the negatives in the narrative and fix them next time.  This is why I haven’t released the update.

That said, the next episode of the Blood City Chronicles will be released this year.  I’m almost finished with Mike’s story and it will be released sometime soon.  Maybe in the next couple of months.  I can’t even believe it’s been 2 years since The Black Petal was released.  Heh, the time really does get away from you.  Of course, being lazy doesn’t help either.  I guess that’s why discipline is needed to do this on a regular basis.  Lesson learned, I guess.

Either way, be prepared for the next story, it’s quite a bit different from the last one, as I changed up the style for Mike’s story compared to Eternal Darkness.  There is a method to my madness, however and I hope everyone enjoys it.

Well, here’s to a great 2013.  Gonna try to get better at getting these things done in some reasonable time.  Focus…focus.

Re-edit for Blood City Chronicles: The Black Petal Incoming

My general feeling about releasing content is that once it’s out, then it shouldn’t be changed.  There are a lot of reasons for this, the largest being that fans get attached to even the smallest details and changing them can upset the balance in some way.  However, I am making an exception with The Black Petal.  When it was released, I didn’t send it out for a final edit.  I thought at the time that releasing the story was more important, but I have later come to realize that this was a mistake.  It should be the job of the writer to make sure the best possible product is released even if said content is free.  Being free shouldn’t be an excuse to release something less than it should be.

For this reason, I’m sending BCC: The Black Petal back to the professional editor to correct some mistakes that I missed while doing my original edit.  What this will mean is that some things will change.  Some scenes will be a little different than they were, but the overall quality should be a bit better.  I am not doing a rewrite.  Like I said earlier, I don’t believe in changing the material on that level, but grammatical changes are fine.  The changes will allow us to feel better about promoting the series properly.

Later this year, the next installment of Blood City Chronicles will be released, and it will go through the process correctly.  If all goes well, To Live in Fear should hit store shelves late spring.  I appreciate everyone who commented about the first story, and I hope you enjoy the updated story as well as the second installment in the series.
